This comes against the backdrop of Pakistan announcing severance of all cultural ties with India after it revoked Article 370 that granted special status to Kashmir and also integrated it as part of the country giving it union territory status.

In a circular dated 10 August, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority or PEMRA issued instructions to its media to show solidarity with “brave Kashmiris” on 14 August and such broadcast programmes.

“In observance with solidarity with Kashmir, Eid ul Azha is being celebrated with simplicity as a religious event. Therefore it is requested that no special programmes (already recorded or planned live) be aired on Eid as the same may hurt the sentiments of not only our nation but also of our Kashmiri brethren,” says the circular.

With all these tactic, Pakistan is thinking that the Awam of Kashmir will support them and get influenced by them. Because of which they can create a war like situation in the valley. But these tactics will not work as people of Jammu & Kashmir are in full support of revocation of Article 370.

Pakistan is trying to project a panic situation and a war like situation in the state. It is time for Pakistan to accept reality and stop interfering in the internal matters of India.
