Ashraf Mir visits Panthachowk, reviews development works
Asks RTO to operate minibus service from RBT Panthachowk
SRINAGAR: Minister of State for Urban Development, Industries and Commerce, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Mir today visited Panthachowk area of Srinagar and inspected ongoing development works including construction of roads and drains in the area. He also took stock of the transport facilities being provided to the public from Regional Bus Terminal Panthachowk.
The Minister was accompanied by the Transport Commissioner, Regional Transport Officer Kashmir and other officers.
The Minister directed RTO Kashmir to ply minibus service from Panthachowk bus terminal to Zafran Colony Balhama, Wuyan, Khonmoh, Zewan and other adjoining areas so that people of these areas especially patients, students are facilitated by the service.
The Minister asked RTO to cancel the route permit of the transporters who refuse to operate transport services in these areas. He also directed for making Panthachowk bus terminal fully operational for the public convenience. He said people should not face any inconvenience for want of transport facility particularly during the late hours.
The Minister also directed for speedy completion of ongoing construction works of drains and roads in the area and asked concerned authorities to ensure all basic facilities to the people on priority.
