ATMs remain dry; most banks go cashless

JAMMU : Three days after the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes, people faced difficulties withdrawing money at thousands of ATMs in Jammu and other parts of J&K. Serpentine queues were witnessed at various Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) in the city and suburbs as people made a beeline for withdrawals of the permitted amounts. Most ATMs were shut for two days and opened for enabling people to withdraw cash.
