SRINAGAR, JULY 24: A meeting under the chairmanship of Provident Fund Commissioner J&K, Srinagar, Ms. Vipra Bhal was convened in which various issues related to inoperative accounts of the Provident Fund subscribers was discussed threadbare. As of now in Kashmir Division some 779 inoperative accounts have been tracked so far amounting to Rs. 57 lakhs.
The purpose of the exercise is that the amount of accumulation pertains to beneficiaries which have become inoperative shall be disbursed to rightful persons.
Among other issues, the was decided that Additional Provident Fund Commissioner Kashmir will contact all concerned Employer/Managements to inform their employees to submit their claims to respective District Provident Fund Offices on prescribed application forms for release of their provident fund dues pending in this organization since long.
The large number of in-operative account holders in provident fund have been tracked in PHE Division Srinagar, Government Joinery Mill Pampore Pulwama, M/S Government Arts Emporium TRC Srinagar, Oberio Palace Hotel Srinagar, Jay Kay Gas Company Srinagar, Ellaquai Dehati Bank Srinagar, Rattan Rani Hospital Srinagar, M/S Director Food & Supplies Department Srinagar.
In-operative account help desk has also been launched for the benefit of provident fund subscribers in the office of Additional Provident Fund Commissioner Kashmir.
