Bandipora-Gurez, Sinthan-Kishtwar roads closed due to bad weather
Srinagar, November 23: Pertaining to the slippery road conditions due to below zero temperature , Bandipora-Gurez road in North Kashmir and Sinthan-Kishtwar road in South Kashmir were closed today for traffic.
According the traffic police, The authorities have closed Sinthan-Kishtwar road and Bandipora-Gurez road connecting dozens of villages including those near the Line of Control (LoC) with district headquarter. The Kashmir’s upper reaches have recently received moderate to heavy snowfall and the roads have become slippery which is prone to accidents.
However, despite slippery conditions, the 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh Highway, historic Mughal roads and the 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu National Highway were through for both ways.
