BCCI to probe match-fixing charge levied by Mohammed Shami’s wife against him
New Delhi Mar 14: Finally, Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has woken up to the charges of match-fixing against fast bowler Mohd. Shami.
Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators has asked its Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) led by Neeraj Kumar to investigate the allegations made by Mohd. Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan.
This direction comes after cricketer’s wife levelled various allegations, including of match-fixing, against the fast bowler. Though Jahan retracted fixing allegation, the COA has taken note of it and asked the Anit-Corruption Unit to investigate the matter.
Earlier, a case was registered against Shami on the basis of a written complaint filed by his wife, who has claimed that Shami has been having extra-marital affairs and abusing her physically and mentally.
In a series of claims made by her last week, Jahan, for once, had also alleged that Shami could be involved in match-fixing.
