JAMMU:-Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Mr. Raman Bhalla today said that the government has prepared a comprehensive plan for beautification of the newly upgraded Kunjawani- Sidhra 6- lane road stretch to add to the attraction of Jammu city.
He said the plan which is under active consideration of the Government envisages plantation of ornamental plants, landscaping and installation of street lights along the stretch.
Mr. Bhalla was interacting with the locals after launching various development works in Dashmesh Nagar locality of Gangyal area, here this morning.
He also said that a detailed project of Rs. 5 crore has been prepared by PDD department for installation of lights on road dividers of Kunjwani-Satwari road. He said that installation of High Mast Lights was under progress on war-footing.
The Minister said that the Government has already prepared locality wise comprehensive plans to meet the development requirements of the people across the State, adding that people’s cooperation was imperative to meet the set targets.
Mr. Bhalla asked the officers to reach out to the people and sort out their problems in a time bound manner. He warned the officers that any laxity in this regard would invite strict action against them.
Later, the Minister also visited Digiana Ashram and inaugurated various development projects which included upgradation of link road, modernization of canal. He also inspected the pace of work on the construction of deep drain, for which Government has earmarked Rs. 5 lakh. He asked the executing agencies to complete the works in stipulated time frame.
