Become job providers, not job seekers: Bali to youth


JAMMU, DECEMBER 12 – Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today inaugurated a blending and processing unit of fitness supplement products, popularly known as “Fitness Universe” (FU) under the name and style “Kerni Fitness Private Limited”, first of its kind in the State, at village Seri Panditan in Bhalwal block near here.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and owner of the unit, Piyush Kerni is the founder of the FU, and also a local entrepreneur. He is a mechanical engineer and a fitness model by profession. According to the owner, the initiative is aimed at providing completely Indian, safe and most hygienic products to the consumers on competitive rates and to generate employment for the local educated youth.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appreciated the initiative of the budding entrepreneur and said it would help the consumers of the State to have these products on affordable prices. He said the venture will also provide employment to the local youth and help in boosting State’s economy. He said it is the endeavor of the State Government to encourage the local entrepreneurs to set up their own units and help in overcoming the unemployment problem, adding that government provides several incentives in the form of subsidy and technical knowhow to the entrepreneurs for establishing income generating units. He called upon the unemployed youth to come forward and take up the self-employment ventures instead of seeking government jobs which are limited. The youth should be the job providers instead of job seekers, said the Minister.

The Minister called upon the CEO and other members of the unit to strictly focus on the quality parameters and providing the products to the local customers on genuine rates. He also asked for providing jobs to the locals only.


Several prominent persons and local BJP leaders including, Madhusudan Sharma, Ved Prakash Sharma were present on the occasion.
