Bhalla visits Pahalgam base camp Takes stock of arrangements
SRINAGAR: In connection with ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra, the Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture and Youth Services & Sports, Mr. Raman Bhalla today visited Nunwan base Camp Pahalgam and took stock of the facilities being made available to the yatries.
The Minister interacted with the yatries and enquired about the arrangements made at the camp. The yatries expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements made for them.
The Minister was accompanied by the senior officers of District Administration, Anantnag and Police, besides officers on yatra duties.
On the occasion, the Minister was informed that adequate civic and medicare arrangements have been put in place for the yatries, besides Langer facilities. He was informed that check points have been established en-route to the cave to avoid untoward incident due to overcrowd on the way and no unregistered yatri is being allowed to proceed to Holy Cave. He was also informed that foolproof arrangements have also been made for informing yatris about the weather conditions.
The Minister also visited Mattan and took stock of the arrangements put in place there for the convenience of yatris.
