BJP conducts a crucial meeting with leaders from Leh, Ladakh

Jammu: To firm party’s stand in the Ladakh keeping eye on approaching the election in the region, BJP National Vice-President & Prabhari J&K State Avinash Rai Khanna along with BJP State President Sat Sharma, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh and Pawan Khajuria conducted a crucial meeting with leaders from the Leh and Kargil at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.

BJP District President from Leh and Kargil, Tsewang Gonbo, and Mohd. Ali Majaz along with other senior leaders from the region presented their viewpoints on the current issues in the meeting. Issues like increasing the employment in the region while stressing on the entrepreneurship and local avenues were taken up. It was also discussed in the meeting that there should be more transparency in the recruitment process and the concerned agencies. It was decided at the meeting to stress for the fast track work on the recruitment in all offices.

It was also decided in the meeting to work extensively for the development of the tourist infrastructure in the region. Improvement in education facilities in the area also remained topic of discussion in the meeting. The demand of developing an alternate route for Shree Amarnath ji Yatra through the region was also discussed.

District president Kargil was asked to frame a strategy for the upcoming council elections including the extension of contacts with NGO’s, religious organizations. It also was also decided to make a strategy for every single seat all including the seats with expected good results for the party to ensure the win in Kargil Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC).

Both districts were instructed to start work on a draft of manifestos for LAHDC, MP and MLA elections by keeping the public demand in clear view by the party functionaries. District presidents also presented their demand in front of high command for the need of bringing closer coordination among party and ministers as well as the urgent need of bringing about better coordination between leaders and bureaucracy.

Avinash Rai Khanna advised the district presidents to submit grievances of the public concern in written form on a regular basis while prompting them to work more aggressively in the field for the benefit of the public. He also gave many important tits and bits to the party leaders for the extension of party activities in the region. He asked them to always stand along with the public on the development and personal issues and adopt politics as a duty, not a reward.

Sat Sharma ensured the leadership from Leh and Kargil for extending every possible organizational help to the region. He stressed that all their concerns will be looked into promptly and they should concentrate on the extending party activities in their respective areas.

Meanwhile, a deputation from Srinagar also held meeting with the leadership for having discussions on various organizational and developmental issues.
