Jammu, July 26: Sanctioning of eight new Highways for Jammu and Kashmir by the Union government is indeed one more step towards improving the basic infrastructure in the entire state and also vindicates the stand of the BJP that commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling the promises of development are genuine and sincere, said BJP State Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan while commenting on this decision taken by the centre government.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that the decision of the Union government, while being very crucial for the development and prosperity of this border state, also addresses the aspirations of all the three regions equitably and fairly without causing any region a feeling of neglect by having sanctioned three major highways projects in the much needed areas of Jammu, same number for Kashmir valley and two projects for Ladakh.
“The well meaning decision of the union government is most welcome also on the basis that these sanctioned projects are hundred per cent centrally financed and will not be a burden on the already strained finances of the state, which the present PDP-BJP coalition has inherited from its predecessor’, he said.
Balbir expressed gratitude and thanks to the Narendra Modi led government at the centre for giving nod to these projects as they are going to be game changers in significantly improving the economy of not only the those areas where these roads will be laid but the entire state.
“ These Highways will benefit further promote tourism and and help the development of the surrounding areas, thus resulting into overall progress and prosperity, for which the people have been yearning for long”, he said and expressed hope that these projects will be initiated and completed within a time frame period.
