Jammu : Famous Bollywood actor and social worker Nana Patekar, recognizing the hardship and sacrifice and duty of brave BSF Jawans during recent cross border firing, visited BSF border outposts in Hiranagar and Kathua on Jammu International Border on today i.e. on 15th Nov 2016. He shared memorable moments with enthusiastic jawans and officers of BSF. Mr Nana Patekar, who was conferred  honorary rank of Captain by Army, while among BSF troops,  expressing his emotions, said, “Borderman serving at the front are our real heroes. They fight a battle every day to protect the integrity of the nation.”

The keenness and warmth of renowned actor was well responded with enthusiasm of jawans deployed on the front line of defense.
The morale of the troops raised to the peak, listening from Mr Patekar  that to be present among protectors of nation sovereignty was a moment of great pride for him and he was jubilant with feeling of patriotism.



He said that it was a great opportunity for him to come and meet BSF troops. The whole nation stand firmly with them.
Mr. Nana Patekar, who once said, “our greatest weapon is not the BEFORS, nor the AK, but our jawans”, is known for his simple life
style, generous donation in charities, drought relief activities and helping indebted farmers .

On this rendezvous,  Sh D.K. Upadhayay, IG BSF, Jammu frontier thanking Sh. Patekar, said that such visits raise the morale of
troops, recognizing the immeasurable service rendered by world largest border grading force tasked to guard vast Indian frontier in western
