Boy held for cyber crime in Mendhar

Poonch Police today said it arrested a boy for uploading objectionable photographs of a lady on social networking sites.
As per sources, a complaint was recently lodged in Police Station Mendhar by a man complaining that some objectionable photographs of his wife had been uploaded on Facebook by some unknown person.
On this, the police started investigation and managed to find out the details of a SIM number which was used to upload the photographs on the social sites.
Sources disclosed that the man in whose name the SIM was purportedly registered was picked up by the police. “But on investigation it was found that he was a poor man who wasn’t having the said SIM number. It came to fore that the SIM in his name had been black marketed.”
Police further carried out its investigation, sources said, adding that after probe, a boy from Sagra village of Mendhar was traced who was allegedly using the SIM card and posting objectionable photographs of lady on social sites.
Police arrested the boy.
