Breaking: NIA arrests two ‘notorious’ stone-pelters in terror funding case
National Investigation Agency (NIA) Tuesday arrested two “notorious” stone throwers from Kashmir valley.
U4UVoice has learnt that the duo has been indeitified as Javid Ahmad Bhat of Kulgam and Kamran Yousuf from Pulwama.
On August 17, the counter-terror agency had arrested Zahoor Ahmed Watali, a prominent businessman of Kashmir.
On July 24, the agency had arrested seven separatist leaders in connection with its probe into terror funding from Pakistan and militant groups based there.
NIA has also arrested seven separatists leaders – Altaf Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Mehraj Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam, Naeem Khan and Bitta Karate for funding related cases.
NIA has also summoned Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Geelani’s two sons to Delhi related to funding case.
The NIA is said to be probing all aspects of funding to separatist leaders.
A National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the incidents of stone pelting has revealed that WhatsApp was used by certain groups and this led to the stone-pelting activities. The NIA has identified 117 suspects who allegedly led those groups while many of these groups have administrators based in Pakistan, as per Media Sources.
