BSP leaders toured flood effected areas ,talked to DC Jammu
A team of Bahujan Samaj Party leaders led by State Gen. Sec. Rakesh Wazir toured the flood affected areas of Nagrota constituency including Bain Bajalta, Rangoora, Tutan Di Khui, Khana Chargal, Jagti, Suketar, Badsoo, Seri Khurd, Kanyala etc. and took stock of the damages accured to the lives and properties of the people and talked to the authorities including Deputy Commissioner,Jammu Mr. A.K.Sahu as well in this regard who assured all help in this regard and assured that the Naib Tehsildars/Tehsildars would be fully put on job and relief work would be done immediately.
Mr. Wazir said that during his tour to the rain effected areas it is found that road connectivity to most of the areas is cut,electricity polls are fallen,electricity supply shut down and drinking water supply too is effected.He further said that the condition of the areas is really worst and leaving aside the people who have lost their lives even the condition of the remaining people is worst and require immediate help of the centre as well as of the state government.
Mr. Wazir further said that the amount of compensation announced by the government ranging from Rs. One Lakh to Two Lakh per person who have lost their lives is nothing else except a joke with the families of the killed persons and further said that the government should adopt a leak proof well managed mechanism for locating the aggreaved persons immediately and losses and distributing the relief material as well as financial aid without any red tapeism.
The team among others was comprised of Gardhari Lal assembly president, Om Parkash Verma, Hansraj, Vijay Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Ram Dass, Ram Ditta etc.
