Jammu, 15 March: The crucial meeting of the State Advisory Council (SAC), headed by Governor N.N. Vohra, to finalise budget proposals for 2016-2017 in Jammu and Kashmir, scheduled on Tuesday, was postponed earlier today.
Although, there was no word earlier, sources have now confirmed that the postponement was a direct result of a call from New Delhi.
The source has further mentioned that a meeting was fixed between Mehbooba Mufti who is in New Delhi today and Nirmal Singh in the presence of the BJP higher ups.
The alliance between BJP-PDP has limited time till April 9 to form the government after which the assembly will dissolve. This is because the previous assembly session was in October last year.
