Aim for the moon, even if you miss out, you’ll land among the stars, this 18 year old from Jammu just proves this proverb and how!
Shivani began her class 12th by hanging a bookmark with Target – 95% plus near the switch board of her room. “I had this target in mind, right from the beginning of the session”, she said in an exclusive conversation with U4UVoice.
The results prove that Shivani is indeed a go-getter.
CBSE recently declared class 12 results, in which Noida-based girl Raksha Gopal has topped the exam with 99 percent in Arts stream.
From Jammu and Kashmir, Shivani Matyal with 96.6 percent in Medical Stream out-shined all students to become the State topper with her hard-work and dedication. “I was really happy to see my results as I got exactly what I expected.”
Shivani completed her Class 10th from Carmal Convent School, after which she sought admission to CBSE board at JKPS, Kunjwani. In class 10th Shivani had secured 93 percent in JK Bose. “People have this misconception that a student who has studied in State Board is not able to perform in CBSE”, Shivani said putting such speculations at rest.
Apart from studying, Shivani loves to sing. She is also fond of playing basket-ball.
On her study routine, Shivani said that she devoted 2-3 hours daily, which apparently helped her to tone down the pressure at time of exams. “My suggestion to the students would be to avoid piling-up work”, she said.
Shivani’s father is a businessman and mother is a house-maker. Shivani aspires to be a doctor. Her dream institution is AIIMS. “I have given the NEET exam, my fingers are crossed, hoping for the best”, she said.
