Ceasefire violations by Pak a tool to aid Infiltration – Lieutenant Gen HK Singh
Poonch, July 18: The general officer commanding (GOC) of 16 Corps, Lieutenant General H.K. Singh, on his visit to villages in Pooch District affected in the ceasefire violations and met those injured aiding them with a sum of Rs. 10,000 each. Pakistan had resorted to continuous unprovoked ceasefire violation in Karni village and Shahpur before and on Eid-al-fitr which led to many villages in Poonch getting affected severely along with people getting injured.
Five people were injured in this heavy firing from the Pakistan Side and a complete village in Shahpur was completelt damaged.
While talking to media persons, GOC 16 corps, Lieutenant General Singh, said that Pakistan resorts to ceasefire violations only to aid infiltration across the border. We have come to bolster the confidence of the locals in shock and it goes without saying that we are completely prepared to tackle any exigency.
