JAMMU: Mr. Rakesh K. Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, held meetings on 20th February, 2015 with two Langar Organizations namely Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organization (SABLO) and Shri Amarnath Yatra Bhandara Organization (SAYBO) to discuss the issues pertaining to the smooth functioning of Langars during Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2015.
In the meeting CEO informed the Langar Organizations that Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2015 is scheduled to commence on 2nd July, 2015 and conclude on 29th August, 2015. He held detailed discussions regarding the setting up of Langars inside and outside the Yatra area.
The CEO apprised the participants about the advice of the National Disaster Management Authority of India (NDMA) with regard to the necessity of reducing the number of Langars in the Yatra area particularly in the Baltal-Domel and Chandanwari sectors for the safety and security of the pilgrims. The CEO stressed on the Langar organizations the need to ensure cleanliness in the Yatra area and to strictly adhere to all terms and conditions laid down by the Board for the functioning of all the Service Providers in the Yatra Area.
Referring to the unfortunate incident which took place on 18th July, 2014 at Baltal the CEO appealed to all stakeholders to maintain cordial relations to ensure against the occurrence of such incidents in future. He informed that the State Government had already given suitable directions to the concerned agencies to ensure maintenance of Law and Order during the Yatra period.
Both the Langar Organizations raised various issues pertaining to the functioning of the Langars and the CEO assured them that all their concerns and suggestions would be suitably addressed by him.
