Chib pays tribute to shaheed Sharma on Martyrs Day
R.S Chib, former minister and Member Rajya Sainik Board, J&K, while addressing the Martyrs Day Function of Shaheed Dev Raj Sharma at Bajachak (Suchetgarh) said that, the nation is proud of our Armed forces and the sacrifices made by them can not be forgotten. Mr. Chib said that every Indian is indebted to their families, for their supreme sacrifices made by them. Mr Chib further added that the courage and the spirit of sacrifice of our jawans and officers of Armed forces is always superior to any defence forces of the world. Chib said that our jawans have always demolished the evil designs of our neighbours and always defeated them on all the times which includes 1965,1971 and Kargil war.
Chib paid rich tributes to Sharma who laid down his life while defending the motherland on 5th of July 1999 at Tiger Hill, Kargil during operation Vijay in which the Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat. Chib appealed to the youth of this border Area to take inspiration from the sacrifices made by our young men like Dev Raj Sharma and come forward to serve in the defence forces of our Country.
A large number of local leaders including sarpanchs and panchs paid rich tributes to Shaheed Dev Raj. They included, Sarpanchs Swaran Singh, Rachpal Singh Gill, Kewal Krishan Chib, Swaran Lal Bhagat, Naresh Bittu, Capt Janak Singh, Shri Rajesh Bittoo (Local leader), Arjun Sing, Kirpal Singh, Capt. Waryam Singh, Choudhary Jeet Raj, Satwinder Singh, S. Sobha Singh, Darshan Lal and Bhagat Sant Ram and etc.
Smt. Nirmala Sharma, Wife of Shaheed Dev Raj Sharma along with his three children and members of his family paid floral tributes. The Rajya Sainik Board was also represented by it’s members.
