Chief Justice lays foundation stone for construction of new Samba Court Complex
SAMBA, JUNE 09: Mr. Justice N. Paul Vasanthakumar, Chief Justice J&K High Court, laid the foundation stone for construction of new District Court Complex at Nandani Hills Samba here today.
Administrative Judge for District Samba, Mr. Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur, Judge J&K High Court and Mr. Justice, B. L. Bhat Judge J&K High Court were present on the occasion.
Chief Architect briefed the Chief Justice about the lay out plan with display of drawings as well as pictures of the proposed court complex.
Chief Justice instructed the concerned officers to work on construction of the district Court Complex expeditiously and use quality material in this ambitious project. The new complex will have spacious court rooms, lawyers’ chambers, mediation center, conference Hall and residential accommodation.
Earlier, the Chief Justice inspected the working of courts in the district and directed the judicial officers to ensure speedy disposal of cases of all nature.
The function was also attended by Kaneez Fatima, Registrar General J&K High Court, Mohammad Yousuf Akhoon, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice, Mr. Inder Singh, Principal District and Sessions Judge Samba, Mr. Dilbagh Singh, MD Police Housing corporation, officers of subordinate Judiciary, SSP Samba, ADDC Samba, ADC Samba, Additional SP Samba, President Bar Association Samba along with members of Bar besides other officers of police.
