Shamsher calls on Paswan, discuss issue of Ration, Sugar

Member Parliament Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas called on Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan here today and projected various demands of Ration and Sugar.

Shamsher Singh Manhas said after the launch of NFSA in Jammu and Kashmir down trodden, deprived people are getting benefit of this scheme as per the required norms. He said topography of Jammu province is different from Kashmir region and major part is hilly terrain. Its difficult for the authorities to provide ration on time to these far flung areas. He asked the Union Minister to release the ration quota of sate on time so that it can be distributed timely.

Manhas also discussed the issue of fair price shops and highlighted the difficulties being faced by the city fair price shop ration dealers. Ration supplied through fair price shops are facing hardship due to nominal commission prescribed by the FCA & CA department of the state and their families facing threat to survival under present conditions.

He said govt. sale depot employees are being provided with salary, rent of the shop, electricity charges & all measures for weight etc. & the sale depot are getting free Ration from the depts.. & deposit the money after sales where these fair price show owners deposit in advance. As NFSA is implementes in the State in Feb. 2016 thy have not received commission of the same till date. As in NFSA rule dealer commission is 143/quintals we demand release of commission that in favour of dealers up to date so that dealer meet their needs.He said timely supply of ration be provided to us in the interest of registered consumers so that we are not humiliated at the hands of consumers.

Katra Oct.06, 16 :  All India Devotional Song Competition entered in Fourth day late evening as a part of Navratra Festival 2016  with the litting  of a traditional lamp by Mr. Surinder Gupta IGP,incharge DIG Udhampur Reasi Range in presence of  Sumir Kotwal Addl. SP Katra ,Umesh Shan Asstt.Director Tourism, Ashok Sharma D.S.P Katra , Mohit Raina Tehsildar Katra,Tilak Raj Deputy Commandant CRPF , Arvind Sambyal S.H.O Katra , Chairman Devotional Song Committee Rakesh Wazir,  Charan Dass A.E Electrical Katra ,besides members Navratra Festival Committee Shyam Lal Kesar, Sardari Lal Dubey, Virender Kesar etc. in jam packed Yog Ashram Complex.

In this preliminary round of competition the dominance of Punjab State singers was seen wherein they clinched two out of three prizes including Mr. Sukhjinder Jeet from Amritsar who was adjudged as 1st  Position holder, Ms. Karuna from Jammu adjudged 2nd  and 3rd position was held by Mamta from Sunder Nagar Punjab  among the 12 auditioned participants and were provided with the cash prizes of 10,000/- , 5,000/-and 3,000/- respectively.

The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including  Dr. Usha Bhagati Ex.HOD Music many degree colleges including P.G.M.A.M College Jammu , Dr. C.L Verma Ex. Dean & Chairperson Himachal Pardesh University Shimla, Honored by C.M Himachal & So many institutions for his contribution in the field of Music, Member Expert University Grant Commission , Dr. Surinder Sharma HOD in Govt. College of Shimla , 20 years Experience in field of Music , Participated National & International Culture Festival of AIU , UGC ,GNDU etc. as a Judge and Composer and Mr. H.G Roy Retd. from Sangeet natak Academy New Delhi , Participated National & International Culture Festival as a Judge and 40 year Experience in field of Music.

Rakesh Wazir chairman of the competition Committee while speaking on the occasion said that although this programme is telecasted on different satellite and cable channels on different timings but its Quarter final,Semi final and Final i.e. on 8th,9th and 10th Oct. will be telecasted live on Shradha Mh One and Navgraha Channel and its telecast timings will be 10 PM onwards on 8th and 9.30 onwards on 9th and 10th Oct.

The first position holders of daily competition will compete with the winners of the quarter on 9th of Oct. for their entry into final and the quarter final will be held on 8th Oct. which will be of 2nd & 3rd position holders of daily competition.The repetition of songs is not allowed in quarter final and semi final however the participants are free to sing any song in the final.

Meanwhile, chief guest Mr. Surinder Gupta while speaking on the occasion extended greetings to the organizers of the Navratra Festival’s All India Devotional Song Committee and Participants

FRENCH CLUB ORGANISED “FRENCH TEACHERS’ TRAINING WORKSHOP” AT GLS SCHOOL

French Club in collaboration with Langers International, Education & Beyond, Clé International & Presses Universitaires de Grenoble organised “French Teachers’ Training Workshop” at Gls Public School . The theme of the workshop was “Apprendre autrement:diversifier les pratiques pédagogiques en FLE” .The content of this workshop was primarily focusing on upcoming changes in teaching French as a foreign language in India. The topic of the workshop has been selected keeping in mind the changing scenario of French language at the school level and its ever growing interest amongst French learners in India. The workshop sessions were headed by Ms. Anuradha Karkun, expert trainer from Langers International.

Langers has already conducted various workshops for French language teachers all over India(Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pondicherry, Sonipat, Trivandrum, Varanasi), Sri Lanka(Colombo) and United Arab Emirates(Dubai).

This workshop was attended by French Language Teachers from various esteemed schools of Jammu and this workshop was held in association with Arun Sharma, Guest Faculty ,French Language ,University of Jammu and Central University of Jammu and Mr Gurpreet Singh, Administrator ,Gls Public School and it was sponsored by the team of Jammu Marathon.
