Aasra Awaad and such nearby villages at the bank of convulsed Tawi were impaired overnight when the rain poured one more time last night. The village is in a more dismantled condition now after the rain ruined their wee remains. More than five days of rain has put the state to doom after the nature’s unavoidable calamity. Srinagar has encountered heavy destruction but Jammu city was no less affected. Tawi river almost reached a level of 33 feet marking the highest in the recent history. The residents helplessly complained about the poor condition they are made to harbor because of the neglect of the government. They were aided with no provisions of food or even shelter and the survival was completely dependent on the nearby villages who offered them shelter and other vitals.
