CM did not ordered separatist’s arrest but then who?

Srinagar, August 24: As per Mehboob beg that even Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed did not know about who ordered the arrest of the separatist. CM, who also holds the home portfolio, knew nothing about the arrest orders and he immediately ordered the release of Hurriyat leaders and JKLF chief Yasin Malik.

The Spokesperson of the ruling party made this startling revelation on Sunday in which she rejected  the suggestion that it was the Chief Minister, who under the instructions from New Delhi, ordered the arrest of Hurriyat leaders and that they were released only after PDP president Mehbooba Mufti intervened in the matter.

The hurriyat leaders including JKLF chief Yasin Malik were either put under house arrest or arrested on friday to prevent them from holding talks with Sartaj Aziz, Pak’s NSA which was called off by Pakistan. NC working president Omar Abdullah had also questioned the PDP-BJP coalition Government’s action leading to the arrest, release and re-arrest of Kashmiri separatists and blamed both the Mufti Government and the Union Government for creating hurdles in the proposed dialogue process. He also accused New Delhi of making a big issue out of a non-issue and lambasted the Mufti Government and the PDP for settling scores with them.

After so many question raised on the arrest, release and re-release of the hurriyat leaders, the PDP spokesperson on Sunday said that the CM was not aware of arrest and he took no time in ordering their release. But the question of who ordered the arrest still needs to be answered. You cannot have a Government where the Home Minister is kept in complete dark on sensitive issues. The Government spokesperson needs to explain everything about the episode so that people came to know who created an awkward situation for the Chief Minister by arresting Kashmiri separatists on their own.
