Budgam: Chief Minister of J&K Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today visited Sheikhpora Pandith Colony in Budgam district. The chief Minister heard the grievances on Pandiths living there very keenly and assured them for timely action for their proper rehabilitation.
About 30 families are living in this colony and they were rehabilitated their under special Prime Minister Packages in which job and living home was given to them about 10 years back.
Chief Minister interacted with them and assured them for a timely redresal of their problems.
Meanwhile one of the Pandith Ajay Safaya living in Sheikhpora colony allege that every government assured us for our rehabilitation but government of India is using Kashmiri Pandiths as scapegoats. And now if proper rehabilitation is not given to us we will be happy to leave valley again.
The controversy on Kashmiri Pandiths are going from last month when BJP announced a bonded colony for Kashmiri Pandiths in which all dislocated Pandiths will be rehabilitated. Meanwhile Separatist groups are opposing this step.
