Srinagar, Feburary 01: Defying the government orders, a number of coaching centres in and around Srinagar city are conducting classes before 9 in the morning even in this biting winter cold.

The reports have came in after the complaints of their parents of these students who have alleged that the centres had been dictating norms made by state government and are putting the health of young students at risk by conducting classes so early in the morning.

Besides, the state government has also failed to monitor the violation of rules by these private coaching centres. Pertinently, the new timetable for the operation of private tuition centres have been issued by the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir last week only.

The orders issued by DESK have said that no private coaching centre shall take classes before 9 am and no private coaching centre shall have government employees on its management team or engaged as teaching faculty. Any contravention of the guidelines will lead to de-registration and closure of such establishments.

The order also said that the centre should notify every change in teaching faculty or schedule class a week in advance and publish the summary result at the end of the each session while sending detailed results with names to the competent authority.
