Cop turns miltant: Poses for Photo with fellow Hizbul recruit

The ex-JK Police personal is seen posing for a photograph alongwith a fellow Hizbul recruit.

It is pertinent to note here, that the JKP personnel decamped with 4 service rifles on Sunday morning following which an alert was sounded in Budgam area of Kashmir.

Syed Naveed was guarding FCI godown in Budgam’

Hizbul Mujahideen Sunday said that the policeman who decamped with four rifles while on duty has joined the outfit in Kashmir.
HM spokesman,  statement, that the policeman, Syed Naveed has “joined Hizb along with the four rifles”. “Our field operational commander, Mehmood Ghaznavi, has welcomed Syed Naveed for joining the militant organization to fight Indian occupational forces in Kashmir,” the spokesman said.
Police on Saturday said that Syed Naveed Mushtaq of Nazneenpora, Shopian, decamped with four SLR rifles from the guard duty room where he was posted to guard an FCI godown in Nasrullahpora, Budgam.

Worrying Trend

This is the first time any such incident has been reported in the valley. WHile their were reports of JKP cops being in cahoots with militants, the said couldn’t be ascertailed. Alas! this incident has raised eye-brows on the set-up and hierarchy of militancy in valley.
