Jammu: Officers and jawans of 166 Bn CRPF celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with children of Sunrise Public School, Channi Himmat, Jammu today here at New PCR, Sidhra, Jammu. The children and teachers of the school tied ‘Rakhi’ on the wrists of the CRPF personnel and cherished the moment.
On this occasion, Ashish Kumar Jha, Commandant 166 Bn, CRPF interacted with children and distributed sweets to them. He told the children that the festival of Raksha Bandhan is a symbol of the true love of brothers and sisters.
He assured that CRPF is committed to the security of the citizens of the country and its Jawans will fulfill the promises made to all the sisters of the nation. It is pertinent to mention here that these children of Sunrise Public School are from the different parts of the country whose parents are financially weak and are working in Jammu. The expenditure related to their studies and other expenditure like uniforms, books etc of these children is fully borne by the school. Smt. Santosh, Principal of the school, was also present. She praised the love and affection expressed by the troops towards the children. She also appreciated the role of CRPF in the nation building.
