CRPF Jawan crushed to death by speeding car in Jammu (Watch Video)


A CRPF jawan on Tuesday evening died when he was hit by a car while he was on duty with Road Opening Party along Jammu-Srinagar national highway here on city outskirts.

Police said that the jawan identified as Constable Kishore Kumar,32, of CRPF resident of Una, Himachal Pradesh was hit by a car (JK-17, 6360) at NH 44, near Jhajhar Kotli on Tuesday evening.

They said that the car was moving from Udhampur towards Jammu.

Singh was moving towards his camp after his routine duty along with one ASI and one another constable when a rashly driven car of i10 make hit him from behind leaving him in a pool of blood.

The injured Jawan was shifted to the nearest Narayan hospital where he was pronounced as brought dead by the doctors.

Police have arrested Zakir son of Mohd Ramzan of Dool, Kishtwar-the driver of the rashly driven car.

A case in FIR number 49/2018 has been registered at police station Jhajhar Kotli under section 279 and 304 A of RPC.

After postmortem body of the Jawan was handed over to concerning CRPF Commander for sending the same to his native place.
