Currency worth Rs 7.5 lakh in old denominations seized

Jammu, March 24: Bari Brahmana Police has arrested two persons and recovered Rs 7.5 lakh old currency notes of 1000 and 500 denominations from their possession near Balol bridge today.
The duo was carrying the banned currency notes in an Alto Car bearing registration number JK0BN 9412. The police seized both car and the banned currency.
They have been identified as Shashi Kumar , S/o Nanak Dass resident of Meshian Miran Sahib, district Jammu and Shashi Kumar S/o Nanak Dass resident of Bariaan near Hanuman Mandir Samba.
