Srinagar, Oct 24: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today on 10Th Muharram in collaboration with Hussaine Welfare Society held a day long free medical camp at Alamgiri Bazar of Srinagar city.
Hundreds of mourners who attended the camp for various ailments received free consultation by a team of specialist doctors and were provided free medicines.
President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan who headed the team said majority of patients had infectious diseases because of poor hygiene and sanitation.
Majority of children who attended the camp had flu and all of them were unvaccinated.
Free medicines were provided to all patients and patients especially children were made aware of precautions to be taken to protect from flu.
President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan condemned in strong words ban on Muharram procession and termed it as interference in the religious matters of the people.
He said it is agonizingly painful to use force on mourners which has hurt the religious sentiments of people.
