Dawood Ibrahim, an angel investor in Zakir Naik’s NGO Islamic Foundation; Enforcement Directorate collects critical evident!

In an unexpected but suspected revelation it has been found that Underworld Don and the mastermind of  1993 Mumbai blasts, Dawood Ibrahim used to fund Zakir Naik’s NGO Islamic Research Foundation (IRF). Zakir Naik’s Chief Financial Officer stated “Dawood Ibrahim has funded Zakir Naik’s NGO Islamic Research Foundation.”, in an article published by postcard.

CFO Aamir Gazdar has further added “The said funding of Naik’s Islamic Research Foundation by Dawood used to take place through a mediator, Sultan Ahmed. Aamir Gazdar was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate(ED) on February 16  for alleged money laundering. ED officials said they suspected Gazdar handled funds & transactions worth Rs 200 crore on behalf of Zakir Naik & his NGO. On February 17, a Special Court for Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) cases in Mumbai had remanded Aamir Gazdar to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate. The Court granted the custody till Feb 22.

Allegedly, Naik had been running many dummy companies in India to divert funds. Aamir Gazdar (48) was reportedly managing at least 6 of Naik’s companies- Universal Broadcasting Corporation, Lords Production (both in UK), Harmony Media, Long last Constructions, Majestic Perfumes and Alpha Lubricants (all in Mumbai). Harmony media was used to produce provocative and rhetoric speeches made by Naik and then export them to Dubai for telecasting, the ED said.
