DC Budgam reviews arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 16: Arrangements for ensuing Eid-ul-Azha were finalized today in a meeting convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mr. Mir Altaf Ahmad.

The Deputy Commissioner said Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments have been asked to make available Chicken, Sheep and Goat at concessional rates as per the past practice.  It was told in the meeting that Animal Husbandry has made arrangements to keep chicken available at all Tehsil Headquarters besides mobile sale centres will also be made available in the district for the convenience of consumers. The price enforcing agencies will keep intensive checking of quality and rates of mutton and chicken besides ensuring hygienic conditions at all shops and sale points.

The meeting also finalized the arrangements for facilities like drinking water, electricity, Medical care, transport and sanitation at all Eid Gahs, major Mosques and places where people will gather in large numbers to celebrate the Eid.

The meeting was attended by SP Budgam Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Lone, ADC, SE Hydraulics, Exen R&B, PHE, Electricity, SDH Khansahib, Beerwa, Chadoora, all Tehsildars, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Officers and all Executive officers of Municipalities.
