As per recent intelligence inputs, jammu administration has issued an advisory for border residents. Yesterday, Pakistan resorted to heavy mortar shelling in Kathua, RS Pura Samba belt during the day causing a lot of damage to property. Though no casualty from the area was reported, in the evening, residents were shilted to safer places in bullet-proof vehicles.
Even last night, 60 and 81 mm mortars were fired by Pak rangers from 11pm till early morning in Korotana and Bidhipur villages of Suchetgarh sector. No human casualty was reported but 4 cattles dies and 2 cattles have recieved serious injuries.
Today also, there is every likelihood of shelling, especially during the day, following which the local Sub divisional magistrates have been told to order vlosing of schools in vulnerable villages as a precautionary measure.
