Shopian May 19: The District Development Commissioner Shopian, here today chaired DLRC meeting for the fourth quarter of Financial Year 2014-15 in which various banks and Government departments participated. During the course of meeting it was informed that Credit Ratio has remained consistently higher on 136% with deposits of Rs. 595.83 crore and advance of Rs. 814.84 crore.
The progress under KCC and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna has remained 100%. The advances made to Agriculture as Priority sector has remained 79.07%. Sixty one outdoor camps have been conducted during the year 2014-15 in which 1382 persons were linked to banks through credit linkage. While speaking on the occasion District Development Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the higher CD ratio of the District and 100% coverage under KCC/PMJDY. However, it was impressed upon the departments to sponsor the candidates to the Banks and work in co-ordination to achieve the targets fixed under Annual Credit Pan 2015-16.
It was further directed to Bank Heads and Sectoral Heads of the Department to help the unemployed youth/deserving poor people by linking them to various Govt/Bank Sponsored Schemes. He directed the departments to prepare their action plans for the financial year 2015-16, with respect to Government Sponsored Schemes. The Joint Liability Group (JLG) has been launched during the meeting and DistrictDevelopment Manager NABARD/Banks was advised to initiate necessary measures for identification and establishment of the groups mandatory under the scheme. District Development Commissioner conveyed in the meeting that a mega awareness camp is shortly being conducted in the District.
