Kulgam: District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today conducted a whirlwind tour of several areas to inspect ration depots and progress of various development projects in the district.
During his visit to Pahaloo, Laroo, Chancer, Kandipora and other adjoining villages, various deputations apprised the DDC about issues and grievances pertaining to their respective areas.
The DDC gave a patient hearing to the grievances and issues of the people and assured time-bound redressal of the same. He also directed the officers to adopt robust approach to mitigate grievances of the people on priority.
Later, the DDC also inspected District Hospital Kulgam and Primary Health Centre Pahaloo to oversee the services being provided to the patients at these health institutions.
He also interacted with the patients and enquired about the services being provided to them. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that patients receive best care at these institutions.
The DDC, during his visit, inspected progress on various developmental projects. While inspecting pace of work at OPD Block of District Hospital, the DDC was informed that work on Block ‘A’ has been completed and work on other blocks is in progress.
The DDC stressed on timely completion of the projects within the set time frame without compromising the quality of works.
The DDC also visited several government offices to check the attendance of the employees and exhorted upon the Heads of the Departments to ensure 100% attendance in the offices.
The availability and distribution process of essentials were also reviewed at ration depots and other sale centres by the DDC.
