Kupwara: District Development Commissioner Kupwara Anshul Garg convened separate meetings to review the pace of progress registered under Rurban Cluster Model Village (RCMV), Khumriyal, Border Area Development Programme (BADP) and Tribal Plan here today.
Joint Directorate Planning, Abdul Majeed Kirmani, concerned district officers and Block Development Officers participated in the meeting.
The DDC asked the officers to speed up the developmental activities in their respective areas and submit utilization certificates to the concerned authorities.
It was given out in the meeting that Rs 60.32 crore have already been approved for the development of Cluster Model Village, Khumriyal under Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission (SPMRM), out of which Rs. 2.13 crore have been spent on the execution of various developmental works in the cluster till the end of September last. These works include development of Public Health Engineering (PHE), PDD, Education and Agriculture and allied sectors.
Reviewing the Border Area Development Programme (BADP), the meeting was informed that Rs 26 crores are being spent on the execution of various developmental works in the border areas of the district under the said programme. The DDC reviewed the block wise and work wise status of all the 24 blocks of the district and was informed that 65% of the work has been executed so far.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC stressed upon the officers to ensure timely completion of all ongoing works before the onset of winter.
