Decathlon Placement Drive at TBS, University of Jammu
Jammu February 17: French Multi-National Corporation, Decathlon, which is one of the biggest players in the sports industry with its presence in 26 countries, started its operations in India in 2009. It is the first time that this MNC initiated a placement drive at The Business School, University of Jammu.
In its pre-placement presentation, Mr. Mohammad Khan, HR Manager-Decathlon, interacted with the students of TBS and shared the vision of their company. In his discussion, he explained the company’s business model, objectives and various activities undertaken by Decathlon to promote their brand. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rahul Sharma, Development Head, North India, talked about the company’s expansion strategy and various opportunities available with the company in terms of summer internship and final placements for the students. Appreciating the performance of one of the TBS students, who had been associated with the company for a live project in marketing research, Mr. Sharma expressed the company’s enthusiasm to engage more students of TBS in their organisation.
After the presentation, the company representatives initiated the placement process and conducted personal interviews. Through this process, the company aims at placing students both for summer training, which is part of the MBA curriculum, as well as final placements.
Earlier, Prof. B. C Sharma, Director The Business School, formally welcomed the company representatives and expressed his pleasure in being associated with the brand Decathlon. Prof. Alka Sharma, Convenor Placements overlooked the entire placement process.
