JAMMU: Sh. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and Former Member CWC-AICC while addressing the press conference at Bishnah welcomed the decisions taken by the State Cabinet yesterday on 16th October, 2014 for creation of new Administrative Units recommended by Sub Committee in the state in general and giving Sub Division to Bishnah and separate Tehsil to Purmandal in particular as these are most deserving places.
Sh. Charak on behalf of the people of both the areas thanked the State government and demanded immediate creation of requisite infrastructure and posting of the staff, he also demanded that office of Sub Division Bishnah should be established in the Bishnah Town only.
While appreciating the Block Congress Committee Bishnah which carried out the vigorous struggle, he congratulated them for these great achievement.
He also thanked the State Cabinet for mooting the detailed proposal by preparing the package of Rs. 9096 crores for 35,384 families of Pak refugees and Chhamb displaced persons i.e. 25 Lacs for each family and also for directing the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Deputy Commissioners Poonch, Rajouri, Jammu and Samba for removing the deficiency in the allotment of land to them.
Sh. Charak also raised the other crucial problems of the area related to the water in the canals for irrigation purpose and which should reach upto tail end and government should ensure the same, replacement of rotten electric wires, proper compensation for the crops damaged during the recent storm, revision of wrongly prepared BPL lists and proper separate infrastructure including playground for the Degree College Bishnah which was established in the year 2008 and still functioning in the premises of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Bishnah.
