Demand for separate Jammu grows stronger; JKNPP leads ‘Haq Insaaf Rath Yatra’
JK National Panthers Party has launched a campaign demanding separate statehood to Jammu.
Reportedly, the campaign “Haq Insaf Rath Yatra” has been launched and is being carried out across Jammu areas calling people to join the movement for separate statehood to Jammu province.
As per reports, on Sunday the campaign was carried out at Jib Thathi area in which hundreds of Panthers Party activists participated and were led by state part president, Balwant Singh Mankotia. The activists held a motorcycles rally.
Later, as per reports, while addressing the rally, Balwant Singh Mankotia, alleged that from 1947 Jammu region was being discriminated and has become the “scapegoat of National and Kashmir Centric political parties for their political interests”.
He further said that now the people of Jammu region have understood that BJP is “becoming the B team of PDP in Jammu and Kashmir and have surrendered before PDP for the lust of power and fulfilling their anti-India and anti-Jammu agenda”.
“People of Jammu region are fed up with the political parties who are advocating J&K as single state,” he claimed
Mankotia further said that JKNPP was striving to end the discrimination with the people of Jammu region. “We have initiated “Haq Insaf Rath Yatra” to declare Jammu a separate state”.
Mankotia criticized MLA Udhampur Assembly constituency Pawan Gupta for allegedly not fulfilling the election commitments.
“Our youth is becoming addicted to liquor (wine) and in coming days Panther Party is going to start an agitation calling for ban on the sale of wine in Jammu and Kashmir.”
