Srinagar, August 13: In an early dawn mysterious blast in South Kashmir’s Shopian district at-least ten persons were injured on Thursday.
The blast happened around 5:50 am outside a local Masjid in Trenz area when people were coming out after offering Fajr prayers. The Masjid is adjacent to the road passing through the village.
Later on when police conducting search operation, a live grenade was found inside the premises of the Masjid, reports added.
The injured were identified as:

2. Abdul Gani Dar (60)
3. M Ismail Dar (55)
4. Bashir Ahmad Bhat (50)
5. Nayeem Aijaz Lone (30)
6. Mohd Ashraf Shah (35)
7. Gh Hassan Wani (55)
8. Bilal Ahmad Shah (35)
9. Gh Mohd Teli (45)
10. Javid Ahmad Shah (70)
While Bashir Ah Bhat s/o M Ismail Bhat (55), Naeem Ijaz Lone s/o Gh Mohd (30), Gh Ahmad Mir s/o Nabir Mir (60), Bilal Ah Shah s/o M Ashraf (35) were referred to SMHS Srinagar.
Another grenade defused at Hizb militant’s home in Shopian
Malla’s house is located just two kms away from the mosque where a grenade explosion injured ten people earlier today.
Police in Jammu and Kashmir Thursday defused a grenade from the house of a Hizbul Mujahideen militant Waseem Malla in Shopian district.
Sources said that Iqbal Ahmad, father of the Hizb militant, informed the police after spotting the grenade at his house in Pahlipora village of the district.
A police team reached the house and defused the grenade, said the source.
He added that the grenade was lobbed at the house earlier today but failed to explode.
