In order to discuss arrangements for Independence Day-2016 celebrations across the State, a high- level meeting of officers was held at Police Control Room (PCR) here today.
The meeting was chaired by Director General of Police (DGP), S. K. Mishra and was attended by senior officers of Police, Central para-military forces and civil administration.
The DGP called upon the officers to maintain synergy among various agencies and directed for keeping available required man power for the functions without affecting the law and order duties. He said that maintenance of peace and order during the celebrations should be the priority and stressed for maintaining close vigil on the suspicious elements, fuelling the situation for their personal gains and endangering the lives of innocent people, besides public properties.
