Dhoni will be left penniless one day: Yograj Singh

Yograj Singh, father of ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh triggered a major controversy after passing comments on India’s ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for Yuvraj’s exclusion from the ICC World Cup 2014 squad. In a war of words, he said that Dhoni was nothing. Now, he has suddenly become the a God in cricket just because media hyped him and crowned him as great as he never deserved. An emotional Yograj also cursed the Indian captain to be left penniless one day. He added, “There was a time when he had nothing but today he sits in front of media and rips off the media people and laughs at them.”

In his rage, he also expressed that if he were a media person, he would have slapped Dhoni right there. Yuvraj was one of the fiver senior Indian cricketers who were ignored for the World Cup this year. Yuvraj Singh,Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan were also excluded from India’s 30-man preliminary squad. Calling him arrogant, Yograj Singh said that Dhoni’s pride will come to an end just the way Ravana’s did. Dhoni will also suffer the same way some day. He also added, “I think I have never seen a terrible person like him ever in my life.”

Criticising Dhoni, Yograj said, “In the 2011 final, Yuvraj was going to bat but Dhoni stopped him and went to bat and became a hero. Why didn’t he bat at No. 4 this time? Why did he go at No. 6? If he considers himself great, then he should have batted at No. 6 and guided India to a win against the Aussies.”He further added, “There will be a day when Dhoni will be left to beg and become penniless and would not get any favour.”
