Div Com interacts with public representatives at Sopore
SOPORE: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Mr. Shalindra Kumar today visited Sopore area of north Kashmir and convened meeting with public representatives at Dak Bungalow Sopore. Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Lone, Head of the various departments, SDM Sopore, District Officers and Tehsil Officers were also present.
The prominent citizens Panchs, Sarpanchs and representatives of various traders federations participated in the public grievance redressal meeting put forth their demands and grievances for the redressal. Sanitation improvement and proper drainage development uninterrupted power and water supply like demands were highlighted in the camp. The locals also demanded the sanction and construction of Dumping Cite for garbage with in the town. Traders Federation Sopore emphasized to gear up the construction of Bye Pass Bridge which has not been completed so far.
They also demanded the construction of pay and use wash rooms in the main market and improper functioning of street lights. In addition people also demanded the shift of Bus Adda to overcome the traffic congestion. Meanwhile transporters also put forward the demand of regular traffic police deployment for the smooth plying of traffic.
While interacting with the people and representatives of various traders federations, the Divisional Commissioner said that every possible facility will be provided to the people of the area as soon as possible. The Divisional Commissioner noted the demands, problems’ and grievances of the people in connection with basic amenities and assured that these issues will be solved on priority basis at a earliest.
Responding to various developmental issues raised by the representatives of the areas, Div Com provided on spot directions to various heads of the department to solve the problems and issues raised by the representatives. He said on the occasion that every effort is being put in improve the living standard of people, besides their socio-economic conditions.
Div Com impressed upon the officers to solve the grievances needing urgent attention on priority.
