Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Mr. Gazanfar Hussain today visited Dargah Hazratbal Srinagar and reviewed the arrangements for ensuring Mehraj-ul-Alam (SAW) while chairing a high level meeting.
Among others, the meeting was attended by the District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Vice Chairman LAWDA, Director CA&PD, SSP Traffic, SDM, SP Hazratbal, officers of PHE, R&B, PDD, RTO Kashmir, Fire and Emergency Services Kashmir, SMC, Health, Chairman Muslim Wakf Board and other concerned officers.
The Divisional Commissioner directed all officers to complete the necessary arrangements before time. He directed the PDD officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the Mehraj-ul-Alam (SAW). The Div Com also directed the PHE department to ensure the drinking water supply and install the additional taps. He also directed the R&B department for repairment of dilapidated roads.
During the meeting, the Div Com directed the concerned officers for installation of water tankers, generator sets and special drive for cleanliness in and around the shrine of Hazratbal.
The Director CA&PD was directed to make available the necessary ration supply to the consumers residing in the areas of the Dargah Hazratbal, besides making available the additional ration quota at these places. The Div Com directed the Health department for ensuring establishment of medial camps and making available ambulance services. He directed the SMC and PDD officers to install new street lights instead of damaged lights.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the district administration for checking the black marketing and stopping the artificial scarcity of eatable. RTO Kashmir was directed to ensure the availability of proper transport facility leading to Dargah Hazratbal. Fire and Emergency Services officers were also instructed to keep ready the fire tender to meet any exigency at these places.
The Divisional Commissioner directed all the concerned to work in close coordination so that every arrangement is kept in place before time.
Later, Div Com took stock the cleanliness of Dal lake by the LAWDA. He also visited the under construction community hall. He direct the concerned agency to complete the work in time.
