DLRC meet held at Udhampur
UDHAMPUR : – To review the performance of all banks in key area of deposits and advance for the quarter ending September 2013 under Annual credit Plan 2013-14, the District Level Review Committee cum District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting of bankers and district officers of various Government Departments of district Udhampur was held under the Chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. Ajay Singh Jamwal here today.
Convener, Mr. Satish Mahajan, Lead District Manager, SBI, Udhampur, Mr. Ashok Angral, and officers of line departments also attended the meeting.
Stressing the greater need for generating awareness about different poverty alleviation schemes of the government, the ADDC Udhampur, Sharma exhorted upon the bankers and sectoral officers of different departments to hold joint awareness camps in different locations of the district including remotest corner regarding these schemes with the involvement of Sarpanches and Panches of the respective areas so that poor masses could reap the benefits of these schemes for their economic betterment.
During the meeting, LDM revealed that various Banks have advanced Rs. 116.02 crores amongst 9286 beneficiaries against a yearly target of Rs. 287.10 crores under Priority Sector advances upto quarter ended September, 2013 out of which the banks had disbursed Rs. 23.26 crores to agriculture sector, Rs. 24.57 crores under MSME sector and Rs. 68.19 crores under P/S advances. Further, the banks had lend 65.05 crores under Non Priority Sector up to ending September, 2013.
The LDM informed the house that in respect of KCCs out of 50624 cases sponsored by Agriculture Department, Banks have sanctioned 45283 cases and 7377 cases have been credit linked to the tune of Rs. 872.93 lakh upto September 2013.
