Srinagar, March 27: The Police Recruitment Board had to issue a public awareness notice, asking candidates to be aware “about the machination of touts and middlemen who engage in different ploys to entice them on one or the (other) pretext to facilitate their selection in the ongoing recruitment process of constables in JK Police”.
T,” Mir Mohammad Aftab, member and spokesman of JK Police Recruitment Board said the recruitment process had been “transparent all throughout”. “Such unscrupulous elements are reported to have again raised their ugly heads to fleece the gullible candidates
He said the Police Recruitment Board “once again makes it abundantly clear that the candidates must have absolute faith in the transparency and fairness of selection process, which is uninfluenced by any human intervention”.
The public awareness notice was issued following a new tactic adopted by touts, who resorted to spreading rumours about the result of a written test and short-listed candidates on social media.
