Dogri Author bags literary award

Jammu, September 1: Dogri short stories book “Keengare Da Rukkh”  by young writer Pankaj Kumar has been selected for first Kunwar Viyogi Literary Award.

The jury constituted to select the best book of a Dogri writer, aged below 42 years, in the last five years for Kunwar Viyogi Sahitya Puruskar  award,  met yesterday and selected Dogri short story collection novel “Keengare Da Rukkh”.

Sponsored by Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust for the promotion of Dogri language and literature, the award carries a cash amount of rupees eleven thousand, a memento and a citation.

The award shall be presented to  Pankaj Kumar, a teacher by profession belonging to Billawar tehsil of Kathua district on 10th September at a joint function of KVMT and Dogri Sanstha at Jammu.
