Don’t read final prayers for dead terrorists: All India Imam Council

New Delhi, October 1: Maulana Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, President of All India Imam Council on Friday asked all imams of mosques across the country not to read the final prayers for terrorists who get killed by the security forces and also told them not to give them burial space in cemeteries either.

Addressing a joint press conference with Shahi Imam of Punjab Maulana Habib-ur-Rehman Saani Ludhianvi after Friday prayers at Jama Masjid, Maulana IIyasi said, “Indian army’s attack on PoK is the right initiative for the security of the nation. We Indians are united at this moment and are ready to answer the cheap tactics of Pakistan. I am appealing to all the Imams of all mosques in India not to read the Namaz-E-Janaza (last prayers) for terrorists and not to give them burial space in cemeteries. The Muslims of India have always remained loyal to the country and will remain faithful to the nation in future as well. “
