Srinagar, December 18: The Jammu and Kashmir government launched first of its kind Chief Minister’s Super-50 Free Winter Tutorial initiative under which students of 10th, 12th class as well as medical and engineering aspirants will be provided free winter tutorials by top faculty from Education Department.
This is first of its kind initiative taken by the state education department which is going to benefit the weak students. The initiative was launched by Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar on December 12 and the Director, School Education, Kashmir has issued a list of 50 government education institutes where students can avail these coaching without paying a single buck.
The students willing to avail the facility can fill up application forms available on the Directorate of School Education Kashmir website.
The coaching can be availed by Class IX, XI and XII pass-outs. There will also be guest lectures arranged by faculty from higher education department, medicos, professionals and IITians with regular counseling sessions and test series to check the progress of the students.
The Director Education, Kashmir, Shah Faesal has said, “Anybody can avail the facility. We are arranging the best faculties from the Education Department for the purpose. The main centre has been set up at Girls’ Higher Secondary School at Hyderpora. Classes will start from December 21. It is free for all students.”
The students willing to study in these free coaching centres are told to fill the form available online with all the required details before December 21, when the educational institutions across the Valley close for the two-month winter break.
The director education, Kashmir has also issued a list of schools in all the 10 districts of the Valley where free coaching will be imparted. There are around 21 government school in Kupwara while in the other districts there are more than 10 centres. However, two centers have been opened in Kargil
